2017: Company boss Manager of the Year, focus on digitalisation

Once again, 2017 was a successful year for our company: Our CEO Saeid Fasihi received the Stevie® Award in Gold for becoming "Manager of the Year“ in the category Computer Software. In the same category for companies with up to 250 employees, Fasihi GmbH received the Stevie Award in Silver.

Moreover, we were again among the 500 growth champions in Germany honoured by FOCUS. And, as "Business Magnet 2017", we are "one of the strongest companies". Compared to the previous year, staff count has risen from 68 to 75, whereas sales increased by 22 percent, from 5.6 to 6.8 million euros. At a symposium in Ludwigshafen, we provided an opportunity to an interested audience to deign a look into the digital workplace of the future.

Currently, our company does not lack orders. "In 2017, high customer satisfaction with regard to our IT solutions resulted in our working to capacity. Our aim is to provide our customers with up-to-date webtechnology also in the future and support them in the digitalisation process. In order to guarantee this, we will recruit further staff for development, project management and support in 2018," said Fasihi.

Fasihi Academy cornerstone and high quality

An important cornerstone for high quality represents Fasihi Academy, our company-internal academy founded in 2015. Via Fasihi Academy, all staff members are trained regularly in order to be up to speed with webtechnology. Onboarding plans for new hires ensure that new colleagues are easily integrated into the team. And, last but not least, those customers are trained working with the Fasihi Enterprise Portal or WEB inFACTORY in their company.

At a Symposium by BASF SE , on the topic of a diverse society in dialogue - digital and analogues networks taking place in Ludwigshafen on 15 and 16 December, our CEO Saeid Fasihi made a keynote speech on how digitalisation could largely contribute to a successful integration of refugees by referring to his own experience.

Digitalisation to be paramount

The topics of innovation, digitalisation and Industry 4.0 were in the focus of a joint symposium of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the Palatinate and our company taking place at the Pfalzbau in Ludwigshafen on 26 September. Participants were listening to exciting lectures and watching deeply interesting application examples from the digital world of work. Our guests showed great interest in a live demonstration carried out by our Mobile App Developers. Here, it was possible to already take a look at the digital workplace of the future. Using the example of data glasses, our developers demonstrated how a fictive production worker was operating a machine by making use of both his hands at the same time. The data required by him will be directly transferred onto the glasses through our new app.

"How digital do we have to be? Metropolitan region consequently focusing on innovative ways," read the topic of the discussion forum To the Point (Zur Sache), broadcast by the Rhine-Neckar Television (RNF) on 9 June. The conclusion at the end of the programme in which our CEO Saeid Fasihi participated was: the metropolitan region Rhine-Neckar is headed in the right direction, but still has work to do if they wish to belong to the top regions with regard to digitalisation in Germany in a few years time.

A visit by state minister Özoğuz

"It is a really impressive success story", said Aydan Özoğuz, minister of state and Commissioner of the Federal Government for Migration, Refugees and Integration during her visit at our company on Friday 27 May. Chief executive Saeid Fasihi, who himself was a political refugee from Iran arriving in Germany in 1986, told the minister his own story and the one of his company. In 1990, he started his one-man business which has developed to a medium-sized enterprise with 70 staff members today.

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the Palatinate and  the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Rhine-Neckar published a cover story on the subject of digitalisation in their business magazine in May 2017. As our company has established itself in this industry with its own business model, the internet platform "Fasihi Enterprise Portal", and gained nationwide recognition, our CEO Saeid Fasihi had been chosen as conversation partner together with the IT entrepreneur Matthias Blatz from Heidelberg. In the cover story, Fasihi gives and account of his own story and the development of his company, representing a pioneer of digitalisation in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.

At the suggestion of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the Palatinate (IHK), Saeid Fasihi was appointed honorary commercial judge to the Chamber for Commercial Matters at the district court of Frankenthal for a period of five years on 22 December.
