Fasihi GmbH nominated for the eighth time in a row for the grand prize for medium-sized businesses

Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economics nominates our company again for nationwide competition

The Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture has nominated our company for the "Grand Prix of Medium-Sized Businesses" for the eighth time in a row. The nomination for this nationwide competition alone qualifies a company to join the entrepreneurial elite in Germany.

We received further nominations from br business relations GmbH in Heidelberg, Wirtschaftsmagnet GmbH in Lindau and WISSENSBILANZ-DEUTSCHLAND in Bremen. As we were already award winners, we were nominated for the "Premier" award.

In 2014, we had been awarded the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" at a gala event in Düsseldorf, making us one of the top companies in Germany and number 1 in Rhineland-Palatinate.

In 2016, we received the honorary plaque of the nationwide competition, which we received from the Oskar Patzelt Foundation in October 2016. Among 4791 nominated medium-sized companies from all over Germany, we were thus among the top 25.

The criteria for nomination for the German SME Grand Prix are the overall development of the company, the creation/securing of jobs and apprenticeships, the strategic orientation in terms of modernisation and innovation, the commitment to the region as well as service, customer proximity and marketing. Excellent performance in all five criteria is required.

This nationwide business prize is awarded once a year by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation in Leipzig. According to information from the organisers, only companies that steer their course with strong values, a clear strategy and a high degree of flexibility, some of which have gained experience over generations in overcoming crises and structural upheavals, and do so with full innovative power, are nominated for the competition. These are companies that care about people and stabilise their regions every day.

The aim of the award is to improve the public image of SME entrepreneurs, to raise public awareness of the connection between "healthy SMEs - strong economy - more jobs" and to popularise examples of success and networking in the SME sector.

Entrepreneurial elite in Germany

"Even the nomination for the competition clearly qualifies a company for others as part of the entrepreneurial elite in Germany. This is because the competition explicitly asks not only for business successes or only for employment or innovation figures, but also evaluates a company in terms of its responsibility for society. Only about every thousandth company in Germany is nominated for the competition," writes the Oskar Patzelt Foundation on its website.
