"Best of Mittelstand": Fasihi GmbH honoured for reaching the jury list

For the seventh time in a row, our company has reached the jury stage in the competition "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation. Out of 5399 nominated companies from all over Germany, 758 managed to do so.

Around 50 entrepreneurs from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and the Karlsruhe technology region came together in Mannheim at host LIEBLANG to receive the award. Our Managing Director Saeid Fasihi accepted the certificate from Gertrud Hilser and Josef Stumpf from br business relations GmbH, the official service point of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation.

From the companies that have reached the jury stage, the jurors of the twelve regional juries and the two special juries will select the prize winners and finalists by July. The award ceremonies themselves take place in September and October.

In 2014, our company was awarded the Großer Preis des Mittelstandes, making it one of the top companies in Germany and number 1 in Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2016, we received the honorary plaque of the nationwide competition. Among 4791 nominated medium-sized companies from all over Germany, we were thus among the top 25.

Roman Großmann, managing partner of the Lieblang Group, described his entrepreneurial activities and, above all, his experiences and measures for successfully managing a medium-sized company in terms of leadership and employer attractiveness.

Following this, Petra Kruppenbacher presented her field of activity as the head of consultancy of the "MUP"-Mitarbeiterunterstützungsprogramm e.V. of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region Association. The new MUP offers employees the opportunity to contact a service number anonymously for all kinds of personal problems. In this way, problems can be addressed and solutions put in place that would otherwise have greater negative consequences.

Impetus from entrepreneurs in the region

Impetus was provided by three entrepreneurs from the region. Among them were Andreas Hänssler, managing partner of HÄNSSLER Kunststoff- und Dichtungstechnik GmbH, Peter Jöst, managing partner of Jöst Abrasives GmbH, and Wilhelmina Katzschmann, managing director of IGB Ingenieurbüro Katzschmann. In the round of talks, all three reported on their entrepreneurial lives and on their experiences with the "Grand Prix of Medium-Sized Businesses" competition. The five topics to be dealt with in the application would help to bring one's own company forward, as one had to deal actively and above all intensively with the strategy and the effect on the outside.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the more than 20 company representatives for reaching the jury level. After the awards, everyone gathered at the cosy come-together with delicious food provided by the in-house catering and took the opportunity for a pleasant exchange.
